Miss Ya, Dad! (Even Three Years Later)

June 7, 2020. It’s a day that will forever be etched into my memory. It’s the day my dad made it to his new home in heaven.

I talked about it before already. His death. The miraculous trip to his funeral in Nigeria during a time when the borders were closed. The grieving process.

It’s all something I’ve said before.

I just wanted to write simply to say that I miss my dad. That’s all. That’s the post.

I made a short video in his honor on my social media pages, which better explains how I feel about everything. You can view it here.

If you’ve ever experienced great loss, know that you’re not alone. God will give you the comfort you’re needing in this season.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. II Corinthians 1:3-4

The hurt doesn’t go away, but with every passing day, it gets easier. And then harder. And then easier.

You got this.
