“Aww… is that your son?”

Of course not, lady. I’m too young to have kids! Oh wait… on second thought, I guess he is.

That’s how most of the “is that your son” conversations start off in my head.

I’ve been a mom for a little over a week now. It really didn’t hit me until I was about to leave the hospital. I was thinking, “Wait… you’re letting me walk out with him? What in the world am I supposed to do with him without round-the-clock nurses around?” 😯

At least I didn’t have to fend for myself to take care of little Jayden. Right now, my husband and I are at my mom and dad’s house to get a little extra help while we become more comfortable with being parents. I like to call it the “halfway house” of parenting. 😉

I’ll go into depth with all the details of my hospital experience in my following posts, but for now, I just want to update you on the precious cargo that emerged from this experience—Jayden! 😛
