You may or may not have noticed that I didn’t have a new blog entry on Friday. The reason was because in my previous blog post, I stated that I’d have belly pics next time. (I even had the nerve to say “promise”.)

So when Friday rolled around and I had nothing, I couldn’t bring myself to make some horrible excuse for not sticking to my promise. But today, I got it! 😀

I had to snap these really quickly before I left for work this morning, so it’s nothing fancy. Here it is, world! This is Hope at 8.5 months pregnant.

I don’t know how much weight I’ve gained because I stopped weighing myself when I was up 17-20 lbs. I’ll go for a final weigh-in right before the baby is born, but for now, I don’t want to obsess over it.

In other news, our home is basically all set for my little man.

All of his sheets, blankets, and clothes were washed (thanks to my husband) with some expensive detergent made especially for babies called Dreft. They say it’s pediatrician recommended and all that other hogwash, so we just sucked it up and bought it.

So now, the crib is set with the bedding, and his dresser is full with all his clean linens. There’s only a few knick-knacks to handle now.

The doctor is still saying this could be a Thanksgiving baby; so while you’re enjoying your fabulous turkey dinner, just think of me laid up in my hospital bed giving birth. Yup, that should suppress your appetite. 😉
