The safari decor… very cute!

It’s time for the update you’ve been waiting for—my baby shower!! The theme was safari animals, and I loved it! Let me walk you through the sequence of events.

Baby Shower Food

This food brought out the fatty in me 🙂 LOL!

The shower started at 4 p.m., but for some people, that meant to start leaving your house at 4 p.m. LOL!

It was all good, though. I was just minding my business eating the array of food.

There were croissant tuna sandwiches, barbecue chicken drumettes, doritos, fruit salad topped with whipped cream, and cake/cupcakes.

The day was filled with great conversation, laughs, and games (give or take a couple cheaters…lol!). But the coolest part of the afternoon was the onesie designing contest.

Everybody got a plain white onesie, some paint, and stickers and were told to design whatever they wanted on it. It brought out the creativity in everyone. Well, almost everyone (LOL!)

  • The dinosaur onesie was made by my brother-in-law’s wife.
  • The periodic table onesie was designed by my other brother-in-law.
  • The giraffe onesie was the creativity of my sister-in-law and mother-in-law.
  • The lovely ensemble with the angel wings was made by yours truly. 😉
  • The Bible verse onesie that is putting my design to shame was made by my brother-in-law.
  • And the intensively thought out design with the outline of a football on it was made by my wonderful husband. (Don’t judge him! haha!)

The game was creative and practical because now, we have six more onesies for my baby to mess up… whoop whoop!

And now to the gifts. I’m not going to bore you with the details of what everyone got for the baby. All I will say is that we are truly blessed to have people in our lives who care so much. Thanks to them, Brandon and I don’t need to pay for much else. 🙂

Baby Shower Teddy Gift

A-mazing…

I MUST share this one gift with you guys, though, because it’s the most creative thing I’ve ever seen. This is what Brandon’s aunt gave to us. A teddy bear on a motorcycle made of all things baby. This pic does not do it justice with all the details she added—pacifiers, diapers, blankets, bottle cleaners, socks, etc. So, we’re not trying to really mess up this creation unless we absolutely have to. HA!

All in all, we really enjoyed ourselves. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law really did their thing with planning everything. Kudos!

And now you know about my baby shower adventure. Yes, this post is way longer than I’d usually like, but it was an action-packed weekend, and I’m pretty sure you wanted to know all the deets. 😉 (That’s another word I’m going to start adding to my vocabulary, by the way… lol!)
