All Belly My Foot!

Remember in one of my last posts, in which I stated that I don’t need to memorialize my chubby days? I definitely still believe that; but in that post, I also had the NERVE to say that I’m up 15 pounds, and it’s mainly all belly. That is, until I saw pictures from our baby shower this weekend. 😕

I browsed through the photos and all I could think was, “O.M.G! Is that me?” Then I tried to rationalize it by thinking, “Oh well, the camera adds ten pounds.” But then I snapped back to reality and thought, “Well, how come the camera didn’t add extra pounds to anyone else?”

Here’s just one of the pics. Granted, I wasn’t ready for the shot, so my face was a little “looser” than it needed to be anyways (LOL!), but this pic still proves my point.

Besides my stomach, a little more “poundage” has been added to the face, arms, and legs. I’m not too worried about it because I know it’s mostly attributed to two words: Water Retention.

Curse that blasted water retention!!! My feet and fingers get swollen by the end of the day, so I can’t wear my rings and my feet start looking like rubber gloves filled with air. (Just two more months. Hang in there, girl!)

All in all, I’m grateful to have had such a pretty smooth pregnancy. Lord knows it could have been worse. I’ll also be happy once this baby comes, so that things can start getting back to normal. HA!
