What Day is it Again?

Oh dear gracious. Being at home 24/7 with this little man is… well… a lot of things.

1. It’s great because I’m getting to know him a lot more, and I get to bond with him. 😀

2. It’s also frustrating at times because I really don’t care for noise, but babies do this thing called crying. What’s up with that? 😡 It doesn’t help that my butterball has a pair of lungs on him that is probably three times the size of his body. “Just let him cry it out.” Ummm… no. He will definitely win that game of chicken. (Did I mention that I have gotten pee’d and spit up on more times than I can remember? I feel like I’m in an R. Kelly video or something. 😯 )

3. And, seeing that I have a lack of adult communication now, it’s mind-numbing 😐 . I don’t do this baby talk business. I talk to my baby boy like he’s grown most of the time, but… he can’t talk back. HA!

It’s actually quite funny because I’ve been waiting for God to answer some questions about my career, location, etc. Can you believe I actually considered doing this stay-at-home mess full time? After an extra rough day with my baby yesterday, I knew (even though I was frustrated out of my mind) that God was helping me eliminate one of my options. He could have just told me, but I guess He wanted to show me so that I never second guess the decision. Isn’t He funny? LOL! 😆

Not only do we need to pray for God to open a door, we need to also pray that He closes the doors that aren’t for us.

Mom DefinitionSo this post goes out to all of you stay-at-home moms—specifically my mother, who raised all four of her children, babysat other kids in the process, and is still helping to care for her grandchildren. That is definitely a skill of patience and superb nurturing. You are a saint, and I have a great appreciation for all you did and do. 😎

And to all those moms who don’t possess that supernatural talent to be Mary Poppins, don’t be so down on yourselves! God knows each of our strengths and weaknesses, so find yours and maximize it for the betterment of your child-rearing skills. That’s what I sure had to learn. 🙂

Lol! You are too crazy for that R. Kelly comment! HA!
Boy ain’t I behind on Beyond Hope… I have been out of the loop.
I’m certainly in the same boat as you as it involves being a stay at home mom. I think that I would have LOST my mind. As a matter of fact, I have the displeasure of listening to my neighbor come unglued everyday on her 3 young kids because she is a stay at home mom and doesn’t want to be. I say to myself, “how about you go get you a job, send them kids to daycare and have a peace of mind.” What a shame… I’m glad that you have realized what was best for you. But as you have said, we have to commend those women (and men) who have an outstanding amount of patience… black fist in the air, more power to them.
Lol, also there is nothing wrong with stimulating your mind by stimulating Jayden’s mind when you want to have an adult talk, Lol. Just don’t get scared if he does respond back to you in a full sentence like Pee Wee off of Bebe’s kids with a heavy dirty diaper. Lol, babies learn quick!

HAHA! Yes, more power to them. And I sure do need to watch what in the world comes out of my mouth. LOL!
