My new hobby shall be running. It is so ordered.
Maybe if I make it a declaration I’ll stick to it. ๐
I like running. It clears your mind and frees you of the day’s stress. Even though I hated cross-country in high school, I like running when I get to set my own pace and zone out to my own music.
But I’m not talking about that “I ran a mile (or two) today” type of running. That’s what I’m used to doing.
I’m getting completely out of my comfort zone and setting my sights on marathons. ๐ฏ Well, maybe not marathons, but organized long-distance runs where many people are gathered with numbers on their chest and back. Can you tell this idea is still new? LOL. I’ll work out the details later. ๐
I’m not saying goodbye to the trusty stairmaster or treadmill, but I’m definitely adding this long-distance running to my repertoire.
So all you people on Facebook who post or have posted about color runs, marathons, and races that benefit a good cause, thank you. Your constant annoyingness has sparked my interest in seeing why you think you’re so cool. ๐
The only downside is that I don’t have a running buddy. My husband isn’t big on cardio and my sister isn’t big on… working out. (But she has remained a size 3 since I can remember. Don’t you want to gag now? LOL! )
Anywho, I’m off to research cool workout clothes and running shoes because if you look good, you feel good; and if you feel good, you do good. And if you don’t do good, oh well… at least you looked good. (Yeah… you can borrow that one. ๐ )

Lol…real cute, Hopie. Good luck on the marathons! Your competitive spirit will keep you motivated and in the front of the pack! (Behind the East Africans, of course ha!)

You know I’m not touching those East Africans. I’m West African… we don’t do more than a 400m, if that! HA!
